Lois Oakley Coleman Black, 82, of Florence, SC, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Mrs. Black was born in Florence County, SC, a daughter of the late Daniel Walter and Mattie Ettaphine Oakley.She was a member of Truth’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are her son, Hubert W. “Hubie” (Betsy) Black; daughters-in-law, Judy Coleman and Ebbie “Pee Wee” Coleman; seven grandchildren, Amanda K. Duren, Melissa Black, James Hyatt, Walt Coleman, Renee C. Graham, Sara Mullin and Amy Taylor; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva (Buck) Hyman and Virginia Lee (Richard) Coleman; one brother, Buck Oakley, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Hubert F. Black; two sons, Donnie Elbert Coleman and Larry Dale Coleman; two brothers, Otto Oliver Oakley and Joseph Lemuel “J.L.” Oakley Fludd. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, in the chapel at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015, at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their special thanks to nieces, Vicky Gordon and Ettaphine McKnight who were like daughters to her and to Homestead Hospice workers, Jami Evans, Carolyn Evans, Carolyn Hickson and Karen Ham for their loving care and support during this time.
