Lloyd Ashton Jones

Lloyd Ashton Jones, Jr. Florence, SC Lloyd Ashton Jones, Jr., 80, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Jones was born in Richmond, VA, a son of the late Lloyd Ashton Jones and Clara Spruill Jones.He was a veteran of the US Navy having retired as Chief Hospital Corpsman and retired as a Physician’s Assistant having served in Alaska.He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Mary Elizabeth Caruthers of Florence; sons, Jeffrey F. (Nancy) Jones of Walterboro, David M. (Terrie) Jones of Charleston and Lloyd Ashton Jones, III of Florence; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Sandy Dam United Methodist Church, 3422 Charleston Highway, Walterboro, SC29488. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
