Lexton Woodrow “L.W.” Coker, 78, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015. Mr. Coker was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Jewel Coker and Dorothea Cameron Coker Caston.He was a member of Bible Temple in Coward and a member of the Senior Sunday Class.Mr. Coker was a carpenter and loved his family dearly.He was a devoted Christian, who loved his church family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Coker; his daughter, Sheila Coker, and his sister, Zelma Beard. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Sarah Margaret Springs Coker; his sons, Larry (Donna) Coker of Sevierville, TN and Curtis (Cindy) Bradshaw of Darlington; his daughters, Rachel (Frank) Schembri of Long Island, NY; step-sons, Jimmy Lee (Debbie) Herring of Florence, Douglas (Brenda) Herring of Jacksonville, FL and Scott Parker of Effingham; step-daughter, Janet Herring of Texas; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and his sister, Fanny Joyce Voss of Jacksonville, FL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2015, at the funeral home.
