Levern S. Locklair

Levern S. Locklair, 74, of Florence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017. Mr. Locklair was born in Florence Co., SC on September 22, 1943, the son of the late Samuel Wesley “Boyd” Locklair and Mimie Lynch Locklair.Levern retired after 27 years at Vulcraft and was the owner of Locklair Welding Shop.He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his five loving grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy Clemmons. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Doris Ann Locklair; children, Sammy (Kaye) Locklair, Scott Locklair, Donna (Tommy) Kanos, Donna Poston and Crystal Merrill; siblings, Geraldine Prosser, Margie (Billy) Matthews and Steve (Wanda) Locklair and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
