Leo Clyde Johnson

Leo Clyde Johnson, 89, of Florence, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, in a local healthcare facility after an illness. Mr. Johnson was born in Florence County, SC, a son of the late Julius David Johnson, Sr. and Goldie Huggins Johnson.He was a veteran of the US Army.Mr. Johnson retired as manager from Badger R. Bazen Company. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maridene C. Johnson; granddaughter, Kristine Happle; a daughter-in-law, Hope Sandifer Johnson; son-in-law, Randy Carraway; and brothers, Carl Johnson and J. D. Johnson, Jr. Surviving are four children, Gail (Jimmy) Happle of Florence, Diane Carraway of Effingham, Terry (Kathy) Johnson of Florence and Carey Johnson of Effingham; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Cecil Johnson of Timmonsville. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will greet friends following the service in the mausoleum chapel and other times at the residence of Diane Carraway.
