L.D. Ridenhour

L.D. RIDENHOUR EFFINGHAM, S.C. L.D. RIDENHOUR, 89, of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Ridenhour was born in Richmond County, NC, a son of the late George Henry and Minnie Scarborough Ridenhour. He was a 60 year member of Evergreen Baptist Church and the Joe Willis Sunday School Class. Mr. Ridenhour was the Owner/Operator of Ridenhour Transport, having amassed more than six million miles and fifty years of safe driving. He was a NY Yankee fan for 82 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hazel Plyler Ridenhour; 2 sons, Rev. Jim Ridenhour of Lynchburg, Chris and Debbie Ridenhour of Hartsville; a very special daughter, Brenda and Mike White of Florence; sister, Odessa Greenwood of Pamplico; 6 grandchildren, Dr. Jamison and Gwyn Ridenhour of Bismark, ND, Jason and Melanie Ridenhour of Mt. Pleasant, Justin and Minna Ridenhour of Florence, Stephen and Jennifer Ridenhour of Lexington, SC, Ryan Ridenhour of Hartsville Alex White of Florence and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Evergreen Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
