Lavonne Poston Williams

LAVONNE POSTON WILLIAMS EFFINGHAM, SC LAVONNE POSTON WILLIAMS, 72, of Effingham, died Sunday, August 7, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Williams was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Benjamin and Doreatha Poston. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Hatchell and two brothers, Wilson Poston and Eldon Poston. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Charles Williams of Effingham; daughter, Sherry (Bobby) Edmonds of Effingham; grandson, Justin Edmonds; brother, Loyal Poston of Pamplico; sisters, Betty Matthews of Johnsonville and Bertie Williams of Florence. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
