Larry Joe Robbins

Larry Joe Robbins, 68, of Florence, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. Mr. Robbins was born in Rocky Mount, NC a son of the late George Leroy Robbins and Myrtle Frances Bradley Robbins.He was an engineer for CSX Railroad for 28 years retiring in 1995 and was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a very active member of the Hampton Lodge #204 AFM, where he was Worshipful Master three times and District Deputy to the Grand Master of the 27th Masonic District and had just received his 40 year pin. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Vivian Robbins; sister, Doris Pryor and grandson, Angel Walters. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Israel Robbins of Florence; daughters, Mandy (Joel) Roth and Stacy (David Walters, III) Robbins, both of Florence; godson, James Nelson of Florence; grandchildren, Lennox Roth, David Walters, IV and Dixie Walters; sister, Rochelle Adams of New Bern, NC and brother-in-law, Steve (Susan) Israel of Florence. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Monday, June 19, 2017 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.
