L. D. Richardson

L.D. Richardson, Jr., 87, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Mr. Richardson was born in Dillon County, SC a son of the late Lawrence D. Richardson, Sr. and Nina Sarvis Richardson.He was a US Army veteran, retired from A & P Grocers and after 42 years also retired from Mike Reichenbach Ford (formerly Horne Ford).He was a lifetime member of Hampton Lodge # 204 AFM since 1960, a lifetime member of the Omar Shrine Temple, where he was a past Potentate in 1984, a former 2 time President of the Shrine Bowl, past President of the Pee Dee Shrine Club and longtime active member of the Omar Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nina Marie Richardson and by a sister, Magaline Martin. Surviving are his constant companion, Ronda Matthews; grandchildren, Scott (Heather) Brown and Deanna (Jesse) Moore; great-grandchildren, Dallon Gardner, Landon Brown, Nina Caroline Moore and Tucker Moore; brother, Bobby (JoAnn) Sarvis and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at West Florence Baptist Church.Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
