Kathleen Isaac Moore

Kathleen Isaac Moore, a long time resident of Florence, died at home on Wednesday the 25th of January, 2017.She was 105 years old. Mrs. Moore was born September 1, 1911, in Northfield, NJ.She studied nursing at Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Isaac, her sister, Irene Longstreet, her husband, Dr. Grover Lee Moore and her grandson, Bruce Wilson. She is survived by her three children, Eugene Hall (Donna), Carole Thompson (Carl) and Lois Wilson (George); two step-daughters, Virginia Lee Hodder and Luanne Cross; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and her constant companion, Cookie. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be made to the Jane Boswell Humane Society, 1434 S. McCurdy Road, Florence, SC29506. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Virginia Johnson, her caregiver and family friend and to the wonderful staff at Amedisys Hospice of S.C. The service will be held at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017,directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
