Katherine Warner Proveaux

KATHERINE WARNER PROVEAUX, 91, of Florence, SC passed away on Saturday, December 02, 2017. Mrs. Proveaux was born in Homestead, FL a daughter of the late Carl Ray Warner and Besse Lee Jenkins Warner.She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a former President of the Women of the church and was a secretary for SC Wildlife in Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dwight L. Stewart, Sr. and William P. Proveaux; brothers,Ray Warner, Ed Warner and Winston Warner and sister, Ruth Robinson. Surviving are her sons, Dwight L. (Sherry) Stewart of Summerton, SC and Mark D. Stewart of Cordova, SC; daughter, Martha K. Stewart of Effingham, SC; grandchildren, Drew (Jill) Stewart, Randa Abbott, Katherine (Steven) Lincoln, Elizabeth Marshall, Seth (Patty) Stewart and Abram Stewart; great-grandchildren, Cooper Abbott, Katherine Marshall, Isabella Wilson, Lucas Medina Marshall, Mason Stewart, Stewart Lincoln, Warner Lincoln, James Lincoln, Joseph Stewart, Lilly Stewart and Sam Stewart; brothers, Charles Ferris (Mary Frances) Warner, I, Robert E. (Doris) Warner and Revis (Marie) Warner, all of Live Oak, FL; sisters, Wanda E. Henderson of Mayo, SC and Dorothy Jean Johns of Live Oak, FL and a very special friend, Lillie James. Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2301 2nd Loop Road, Florence, SC29501. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with the service to take place at 2:00 PM.Burial will follow directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
