JUDY DeBERRY COX (JOHNSON) FLORENCE, SC Judy DeBerry Cox, 83, of Florence, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 1, 2016 after a long illness. Ms. Cox was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late J.B. Poston and Maybelle Baggett.She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church where she was a member of her longtime friend, Ernestine Edgeworth’s Sunday School Class.She was an executive secretary for TranSouth Finance for 33 years and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James Donald DeBerry, Sr. and Edwin Louis Cox; grandson, Kerry Samuel Kemmerlin; brother, Marvin Burt Poston; son-in-law, Julius Samuel Kemmerlin and brother-in-law, Pete Covington. Surviving are her daughter, Amber Kemmerlin (Cornell) Padgett; son, James Donald (Kay) DeBerry, Jr.; grandchildren, Julie Amber Kemmerlin, Brandon DeBerry and Cole DeBerry; great-grandchildren, Wesley DeBerry, Ethan DeBerry and Jaden DeBerry; brother, J.B. (Betty) Poston; sisters, Zelma (Bob) Spencer and Barbara Covington; special friend and caregiver, Gail Greg.
