Juanita Powell Wiggins Florence: Juanita (Nita) Powell Wiggins, 88, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 after an extended illness.She was the widow of Lacy H. Wiggins. Mrs. Wiggins was the daughter of the late Taylor Leoscar Powell and Annie Evans Powell.She born in the Hannah Community of Florence County, but lived most of her married life in Marion County where she was active in her church and community.After moving to Florence she became the devoted caretaker of her husband until his death in 2006. She was an accomplished homemaker, mother, and grandmother.She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church The Funeral service will be conducted at Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel at the cemetery Tuesday, November 6 at 10:00 am. Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, only grandson Patrick Henry, two sisters Edna Calcutt and Annie Laurie Todd; four brothers – Elmer Powell, Norman Powell, Taylor L(Tee) Powell, Jr. and Jack Powell. Surviving are her two daughters Marvis W Henry and her husband Pat of Conway, SC and Connie W Skipper of Florence; four granddaughters –Amy Henry of Charlotte, NC, Sheri S Carter (Barry) of Florence, Lacie S House (Rick) of Florence; Darlene S Ezman (Brian) of Middleton, Wisconsin; eight great grandchildrenAdam Gragg and his wife Stephanie of McCord Air Force Base Washington; Melissa Gragg, Samuel Carter and Hannah Carter all of Florence, Jaxson Ezman, Rylan Ezman, Wyatt Ezman and Emmalyn Ezman all of Middleton Wisconsin; two sisters Sue P Huskey (J.P.) of Marion SC and Joann P Gladden (Jerry) of Florence; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina and especially, Betty Moore Bell, who gave such loving tender care to Mrs. Wiggins for the past 18 months.
