Joyce Watts Gibson

Joyce Watts Gibson, 75, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Florence, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Mrs. Gibson was born a daughter of Ralph Wailen Watts and Jewell Israel Watts. She graduated from Florence High School. For over 20 years Mrs. Gibson assisted her husband in their business, Carolina Driver Service, Inc. She was also a dispatcher for LandStar. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Colburn Gibson. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her son, Donald C. Gibson, Jr. (Dawn); daughter, Shelley Gibson Drulard (Tony Smith); grandchildren, Benjamin Gibson Drulard, Meredith Grace Drulard, William Parker Drulard, Katherine Brock Gibson and Olivia Jewell Gibson; brother, Freddie Watts (Jan); a number of nieces and nephews and extended family. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
