Joyce Patricia Baker

Joyce Patricia McClure Baker, 75, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. Mrs. Baker was born in Roanoke, VA, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Dooley McClure and Fred Oscar McClure. She retired as a receptionist for Drs. Jeter and Skinner.Mrs. Baker was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ very much and was a devoted wife to her husband, Gerald, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Gerald Kenneth Baker; son, Gerald Steven (Reva) Baker of Sardis, SC; daughter, Tammy (Ralph) McGee of Florence; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Leon (Louann) McClure of Lynchburg, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary McClure, Ronny McClure, and Virgil McClure; and her sisters, Vivian Kemper and Gaynor Boone. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Peace Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
