Josephine Spivey Jenkins

Josephine Spivey Jenkins, 93, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Polk County, NC, a daughter of the late Joseph Mescher Spivey and Lotha Thompson Spivey.She was a previous member of Willow Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church in Florence for fifty years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and musician.She was a current member of Victory Baptist Church in Darlington. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Lester Larkin Jenkins; her son, Paul E. Jenkins, and her daughter, Grace Jenkins. Surviving are her sons, Harold Jenkins and Garland Jenkins, both of Florence; her daughters, Jenks (Ashley) Craven of Florence and Polly (Larry) Webster of Timmonsville; special grandson, Freddie Webb, Jr.; grandchildren, Brian Dykes, Paul Jenkins, Jr., Joey Jenkins, Darlene Day, Heather Jones, Ray Jenkins, Daniel Webster, Danae Webster, Christy Jenkins; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
