Joseph Levern Poston

Joseph Levern Poston, 63, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Mr. Poston was born in Lancaster, SC, a son of Edna Powell and the late Joseph Leslie Richardson.He was a heavy equipment operator with Southern Asphalt and loved his job. Mr. Poston was a member of Bethsaida Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Shelby Taylor Poston of Effingham; son, Charles Richard Aman of Effingham; daughters, Christy Poston of Effingham and Dorothy (Jay) Coker of Coward; grandchildren, Jordan Coker and Carter Coker; brothers, Gene (Brenda) Poston of Florence, Joseph Scott (Teresa) Richardson of Tennessee, Steven Richardson of Tennessee and Dale Powell of Florida; and sisters, Patsy (Ned) McKenzie of Johnsonville and Lelia McKnight of Effingham. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ludie and Ozelee Poston; brothers, Ray Poston and Russell Powell; and mother-in-law Dorothy G. Taylor. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
