Joseph Ronald Miller

JOSEPH RONALD MILLER, 67, of Florence, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at his residence after an illness. Joseph was born in Hemingway, a son of the late Joseph Samuel and Maggie Waldstrom Miller. He had retired from Georgetown Steel Company after over 30 years of service. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Miller Jones. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Patricia M. Miller; 2 sons, Jimmy Mac (Sharon) Powell of Charlotte and Kenneth Wayne Powell of Florence; 2 daughters, Tonya Powell (Howard) Yarborough and Pam Powell Erwin (Chuck vanWitzenburg), both of Florence; 3 brothers, Kenny (Donna) Miller, Robert Miller and Gus Miller, all of Georgetown; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
