JOSEPH DAVID MATTHEWS, III TIMMONSVILLE, SC Joseph David Matthews, III, 57, of Timmonsville, SC, has passed away in Florence, SC. Mr. Matthews was born in Florence, a son of Elsie Vause Matthews and the late Joseph David Matthews, Jr.He worked at La-Z-Boy for twenty-five years. He loved woodworking, deer hunting and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his son, David Wade Matthews of Darlington; his daughter, Cait Matthews; his mother, Elsie Vause Matthews of Florence; his siblings, Nanette Matthews of Midlothian, VA and Roxanne (Doug) Barrier of Midlothian, VA; a niece, Paige Barrier; and nephews, Brian Borgatti and Wes Barrier. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Matthews family farm directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
