Joseph "Joey" Leslie Flegel

Joseph “Joey” Leslie Flegel, Sr., 51, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. Mr. Flegel was born a son of Brenda Joe Lambert Flegel and Michael Ware Flegel, Sr.He was a construction worker and a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marcy Flegel of Florence; sons, Bryan Cooper of Georgetown, Joseph L. Flegel, Jr. (Tanis) of Lamar and Jayden H. Cartwright of Florence; daughter, Katelyn B. Flegel of Timmonsville; step-daughters, Alicia Cartwright and Emily Cartwright, both of Florence; four grandchildren; brother, Michael W. Flegel, Jr. (David) of Florence; sister, Jeanie Barr (Chris) of Florence and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Florence Memorial Gardens.
