Joseph Henry Alteri

Joseph Henry Alteri, 86, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017. He was born in New Britain, CT on December 28, 1930.He was a 33 year veteran of the Connecticut Air National Guard, a member of the 103rd Fighter Group and retired as SMSGT.He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #1. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Barnes Alteri, a son, David and a daughter, Anna. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 2182 W. Evans Street, Florence, SC29501 or to St. Anne’s Building Fund, 113 S. Kemp Street, Florence, SC29506. A mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery with full military honors directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
