Johnnie Elizabeth “Beth” Green, 63, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Beth was born in Florence, a daughter of Freida Godwin Green and the late John Wesley Green.She was proud to have graduated from Southside High School and Francis Marion University and to have become a teacher.She taught in the public and private schools in Florence County.Beth was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and of the Wesley Bible Class. Surviving are her mother, Freida Godwin Green; sisters, Brenda G. (Robert) Brunson of Irmo, SC and Rita Turner (Joe) Robertson of Rock Hill, SC; two nieces, Stephanie Elaine Hughes and Lauren Celeste Stallings; two nephews, Wesley Arbie Turner and Robert Jason Brunson; one great-grandniece, Jordan Grace Hughes and four great-grandnephews, Riley Stallings, Carson Murray, Casey Turner and Colton Hughes. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Highland Park United Methodist Church.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1300 Second Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505.
