JOHN WAYNE WILLIAMS FLORENCE, SC JOHN WAYNE WILLIAMS, 63, of Florence, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 29, 2013. Mr. Williams was born in Horry Co., SC a son of the late Edward G. Williams and Maybelle Watts Fipps.He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Florence and was currently employed as a welder at Aluminum Ladder of Florence and played softball on a 55 and older team.John loved to duck hunt, fish and the mountains of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joann Barnhill. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Betty Jo Lambert Williams of Florence; children, John Wayne (Cresie Ann) Williams, Jr., Charlotte Marie (Frank, Jr.) Parnell, Robert Edward (Jennifer) Williams and Adam Wayne Williams, all of Florence; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers of West Virginia; two sisters of West Virginia; half-sister, Earline Osborne of Marion; nephew, John Osborne of Dillon; mother-in-law, Bessie Vaughan of Florence; special canine companion, a Boykin Spaniel, Rambo; special friend, Terrell Tapp of Florence and a number of nieces and nephews including Tracie Lewis of Marion. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 1620 Malden Drive, Florence, SC29505. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
