John Thurman Harrelson

JOHN THURMAN HARRELSON Florence, S.C. JOHN THURMAN HARRELSON, 85, of Florence, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Harrelson was born in Andrews, a son of the late William Cleveland and Esther Ellen Porter Harrelson. A US Navy veteran of WWII, he had retired from Stone Container as Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace Victoria Miller Harrelson; 2 Daughters; Cynthia and her husband Robert Allison of Amherst, VA. and Donna and her husband Bill Weldon of Florence; 1 Brother, Reuben (Betty) Harrelson of Chattanooga, TN; 2 sisters; Rachel Stern of Georgetown and Marian Gambrell of Bainbridge, GA; 12 Grandchildren; Kenny Fisher, Jackie Fisher, II, Neal Fisher, Paul Fisher, Daniel Fisher, John Fisher, Beth Moon, Elena Moon, Bonnie Moon, Maggie Moon, Rachel Weldon, and John Weldon; and 2 Great-Grandchildren, Jackie Fisher, III and Charlotte Grace Fisher. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 21 in the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown, SC.
