John W. "Bill" Smith

John W. ”Bill” Smith, 81, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Mr. Smith was born in Florence County, a son of the late Larthen Alexander Smith and Mary M. Hartfield.He retired from Marsh Lumber Company and also Waste Management.Mr. Smith was a charter member of The Well (Pamplico Pentecostal Holiness Church). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Willie Mae Hutchinson Smith; his daughter, Vickie Lynch; grandchild, Loretta Smith and his brothers, Kenneth Smith and Donald Smith. Surviving are his children, J. L. (Tammy) Smith of Pamplico, Paul Smith of Florida and Helen(Gary) Kilby and Willie (Roberta) Smith, both of Wilkesboro, NC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and sisters, Doris Richardson and Myrtle Miller. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at The Well Pentecostal Holiness Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Church. Memorials may be made to The Well Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 66, Pamplico, SC 29583.
