John Odell Lupo

John Odell Lupo, 78, of Florence, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Lupo was born in Horry County, a son of the late John O. Lupo, Sr. and Inez Hunsucker Lupo.He was a veteran of the US Army and was the Warehouse Manager for Milliken & Company for thirty-six years and later worked with Pee Dee Isotopes for a number of years.Mr. Lupo was a member of the American Legion, Woodmen of the World and Beulah Free Will Baptist Church Pentecostal Faith.He most recently attended Rumsey Memorial Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Eunice Rogers and Joyce Ann Lupo. Surviving are his wife, Willa Mae Poston Lupo; his children, Douglas Lupo of Johnsonville, Roger Dale Lupo of Effingham, Brian Lupo of Effingham, Teresa Carrigan of Florence, and Cristy Olson of Augusta, GA; his brother, A.C. Lupo of Mullins; his sisters, Agnes Williams of Myrtle Beach, and Clara Mae Drew of Fair Bluff, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
