JOHN BURNIS “J.B.” GULLEDGE, JR. FLORENCE, SC John Burnis “J.B.” Gulledge, Jr., 75, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Mr. Gulledge was born in Evergreen, SC a son of the late John Burnis Gulledge, Sr. and Mary Parker Gulledge.He retired from Charles Ingram Lumber Company and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.J.B. was also a member of the Flintville A.F.M. Lodge #158. He was a longtime go-kart racer and Nascar fan. J.B. coached softball and baseball. He loved music and dancing. Mr. Gulledge was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a jack of all trades and never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Phillip Gulledge and brother, Robert Gulledge. Surviving are his wife, Linda Brooks Gulledge; son, David Brooks Gulledge (Sarah Anderson) of Florence; daughters, Mellonie Gulledge Hatchell (Larry) of Effingham, Michelle Renfro Camp (Jim) and Kathy Gulledge Craft (Chris), both of Florence; grandchildren, Jason, Courtney, Josh, Marilyn, Katelyn, Karah and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Landen; brothers, Clyde Gulledge (Sharon), Jerry Gulledge (Debbie) and Eddie Gulledge (Tricia) and sister, Loretta Gulledge Lee. Memorials may be made to the Jeffrey Vaden Chavis House, c/o Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, Inc., 3614 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Building C, Augusta, GA30909. The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 PM Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2017 at Evergreen Baptist Church.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
