John Shannon Eaddy

John Shannon Eaddy, 71, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Shannon was born in Florence, SC, the son of the late Margaret Lynn Eaddy and Daniel Gregory Eaddy. He was a 1973 graduate of South Side High School; and following graduation he was a self-taught construction worker, carpenter and owner of Willow Creek Construction Co. for over forty plus years. He was a member of Florence Baptist Temple where he loved his Sunday School Brothers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Sherrill Eaddy.

Surviving are his step-mother, Ernestine Eaddy; wife, Mary Prosser-Eaddy; daughter, Shelli Eaddy-Lynch (Wes); sons, Shaun Eaddy and Austin Eaddy (Kayla); step-daughter, Christina Phillips (Brad); step-sons, Michael Brown (Tricia) and Daniel Brown (Shane); ten grandchildren, Clay, Caroline, Cole, Braxton, Bailee, Andee, Joshua, Caleb, Ella and Charlie; great-grandchild, Paisleigh; brothers, Shea Eaddy and Timmy Murrow (Karen); and sisters, Sharon Jesse, Sheila Lewis (David), Sherri Gibson (Michael) and Jennifer Eaddy-Hyde (Bobby).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private Burial will follow at Eaddy Memorial Cemetery.
