JOHN DOUGLAS "DOUG" JONES SCRANTON, SC John Douglas "Doug" Jones, 57, of Scranton, died Monday, June 25, 2012, in a Florence hospital. Mr. Jones was born in Florence Co., SC, a son of Betty Singletary Jones and the late James Anderson Jones.He was a refrigeration specialist, a member of Amity Lodge #340 and the Omar Shrine Center.Mr. Jones was a member of College Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and his father-in-law, Pedro N. Lee. Mr. Jones is survived by his mother of Florence; his wife, Cathy Lee Jones; daughter, Ashley Rose Jones, and son, Trey (Heather) Douglas Jones, both of the home; step-son, Philip (Crystal) Lee of Lake City; grandchildren, Samuel N. Parker, II, Anz'Lee E. Parker, Caroline D. Parker, Halyn M. Prentice, and Gracy A. Lee; step-grandchildren, Bryson Godo and Cassidy Collins; brothers, Tony (Cheryl) Jones of Florence, Ronnie (Kathy) Jones of Timmonsville, and Robbie (Debbie) Jones of Florence;special children, Summer R. Brasington of Darlington, Ashley A. Klumas of Darlington, Christina L. Powell of Scranton and LaShawn Rippy of Coward; special grandchildren, Raven G. Rippy, Dakota C. Rippy, Caleb W. Parker, and Brooklen Hicks; son-in-law Sammy Parker of Cades; mother-in-law, Nancy M. Leeof Lake City, and a number of nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery in Scranton directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
