Florence, SC John (“Johnny”) Harold Doughty, Jr., 68, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was born October 14, 1946 in Florence, SC, a son of the late John H. Doughty, Sr. and Bessie Lou Tart Doughty. He was the retired owner and operator of DoughtyConstructionCompanyandhe served in the National Guard. Survivors include three sons, “John” H. Doughty,III(Jennifer) of Pittsboro, NC,Jason Bell Doughty of Florence and Caleb Parker Doughty of Charleston;2 daughters, Jillian Elizabeth Miles of Florence and Chelsea Adelle Doughty of Charleston; and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother,JerryDoughty, and sister ,Jeannette “Tinky” Touchberry. A graveside service was held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Sansbury Hill Cemetery near Timmonsville, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling FuneralHome.
