JOHN G. ANDERSON TIMMONSVILLE, SC John G. Anderson, 74, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. Mr. Anderson was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Ralph K. Anderson and Macie Weaver Anderson.He was a member of the US Army Reserve and retired from Wellman in Darlington after 32 years.He was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, a member of the choir and a member of the David Hewitt Sunday School Class.He was an avid gardener, loved flowers and animals and loved to visit for the church and the Hospice shut-ins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister, Patsy Anderson. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Jones Anderson; son, Jason Gregory Anderson of Timmonsville; daughter, Karen Suzanne Anderson of Timmonsville; brothers, Ralph K. Anderson, Jr. of Florence and Malvin Anderson of Timmonsville and sister, Deloris Jackson of Florence. Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 2990 South Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC29505 or to the Florence Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC29502. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Unity Baptist Church with the service being held at 2:00 PM at the church.Entombment will follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
