Jimmy Lyerly, 69, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. We lost our brother today, a casualty of the Vietnam War.Although he was disabled, he never forgot his country or his family.He loved them both, but above all, he loved his Lord and Savior.Today, with open arms, His Lord has taken him home. Jimmy was born a son of the late Mary C. Edwards Lyerly and John Quincy Lyerly.He graduated from Hannah Pamplico High School and was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his brother, Larry L. (Sherry) Lyerly of Florence; sister, Barbara Ann (The Late Milton E.) Taylor of Florence; nephews, Eric Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC, Wade Taylor, Chad (Shannon) Lyerly and Seth Lyerly, all of Florence; nieces, Lori Lyerly of Houston, TX and Denise Heaster of Florence; three great nephews and one great niece. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
