Jimmie Broach

Jimmie W. Broach Effingham, SC Jimmie W. Broach, 79, of Effingham, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Mr. Broach was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Leonard William Broach and Bessie Hatchell Broach.He was a member of Lebanon Men’s Sunday School Class and retired from Lay-Z-Boy after more than 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Hughes McKenzie and brothers, Melton Broach and Curtis Broach. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Joyce Allen Broach of Florence; son, William O’neil (Sarah) Broach of Effingham; grandchildren, Jamie (Jennifer) Hughes of Florence, Brandy McKenzie of Effingham, Casey McKenzie of Minnesota and Liam O’neil Broach of Effingham and 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson Hughes and Jonah Hughes both of Florence. Memorials may be made to United Hospice, 609 S. Coit Street, Florence, SC 29501. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 19, 2014 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
