JESSE SAMUEL “SAM” HILL TIMMONSVILLE, SC Jesse Samuel “Sam” Hill, 76, of Timmonsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Mr. Hill was born in Florence County, SC a son of the late Judson Alfred Hill and Nanny Nola Garner Hill.He was the owner and operator of Sam Hill Fencing in Timmonsville.He was a member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church, a member of the Florence County Chamber of Commerce and had worked at Sears. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Jesse Samuel “Sambo” Hill, II. Surviving are his wife, Donna Lloyd Hill of Timmonsville; son, Samuel Alfred “Al” Hill of Effingham; daughter, Shannon Rae Hill (Terry) Robinson of Lamar; step-children, Teresa (Tony) Rogers and Jesse Ransome, both of Florence and James (Jennifer) Ransome of Effingham; grandchildren, Summer Harrelson, Magon Harrelson, Lindsay Rae Harrelson (Matthew) Smiler, Brock Von Robinson, Sarah Kimball Hill and Samuel Alfred Hill, II; step-grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Shane Rogers, Melissa Ransome, Rileigh Ransome, River Ransome; step-great-grandchild, Jase Rogers and a sister, Sue Thomas of Summerville. Memorials may be made to Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church, P. O. Box 3905, Florence, SC29502. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church.Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery.
