Jesse Asbury Harrelson

Jesse Asbury Harrelson, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. Mr. Harrelson was born the son of the late Katie Virginia Blackmon Harrelson and Lonnie Lee Harrelson, Sr.He was a veteran of the US Navy serving 22 years and received numerous medals and commendations.He retired as a Postal Carrier with the US Postal Service after 30 years. Mr. Harrelson attended Bethsaida United Methodist Church and was as a member of American Legion Post 91, NARFE and VFW. He is predeceased by his first wife, Norma Jean McLaughlin Harrelson; brothers, Lonnie Lee Harrelson, Jr., Henry J. Harrelson and Glen Larry Harrelson; and sisters, Judy Ruth Lee and Katie Effie Lynch. Mr. Harrelson is survived by his second wife, Marie Harrelson; son, Norman Patrick Harrelson; daughters, Jessica Angela Justice (Scott) and Kimberly Virginia Rogers (Greg); grandchildren, Jordan Carter, Ashley Weiss, Brittany Lee, Michael Lee; great-grandchild, Sterling Carter; and half-brother, Lonnie Ray Harrelson. Funeral service will be held at on 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow with full military honors at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
