Jerry Flyn Christmas, Sr.

JERRY FLYN CHRISTMAS, SR. FLORENCE, SC JERRY FLYN CHRISTMAS, SR., 59, of Florence, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Christmas was born in Florence, SC a son of Melva “Baird” Christmas and the late Oral McQuade Christmas.He was a US Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion and a member of the Carolina Faith Riders.He attended Southside Baptist Church and retired from Nucor Steel. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 32 years, Tracy Smith Christmas; children, Brigitte (Brad) Gerrald of Marion, Jerry Christmas, Jr. of Florence and Danielle (Allen) Cole of Ohio; grandchildren, Hunter Gerrald, Easton Gerrald, Alayna Cole and Nicholas Cole; siblings, Terry (Janet) Christmas, Bill (Wanda) Christmas, Sharon (Perry) Moore and Merry “Susie” (David) Stone, all of Florence. Memorials may be made to the Free Will Baptist Home for Children, PO Box 229, Turbeville, SC29162. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Pisgah United Methodist Church.Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
