JERRY OTIS EVANS FLORENCE, SC Mr. Evans was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Johnny Evans, Sr. and Mary O. Miles Evans.He retired as a construction worker with Fluor Construction Company after 33 years of employment.Mr. Evans was a member of the Pamplico Masonic Lodge #324, the York Rite and Omar Temple. Jerry Otis Evans, 69, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Surviving are his wife, Rose Lee Byrd Evans; daughters, Denise Evans of Pamplico, Amy M. Flohr of Surfside Beach and Angie M. Evans of Florence; brothers, James E. Evans of Boonton, NJ and Billy Evans of Pamplico; sister, Barbara Hinson of Dillon; three step-children, John Jackson, Jr., Wayne Jackson, and Happy Jackson, all of Florence; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Evans, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home, and at other times at the residence.
