Jerra Vee Anthony

Jerra Vee Brown Anthony, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Mrs. Anthony was born in Wilmington, NC, a daughter of the late Wilbur G. Brown and Lillie Mae Merritt Brown.She graduated from New Hanover High School. Mrs. Anthony loved playing bridge at the Leatherman Center.She enjoyed the beach, cooking, cruises, reading and playing the piano and organ. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and retired from Federal Land Bank. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth Blaire Anthony (Susan), Jeffrey Alan Anthony (Michelle) and Bradley Gene Anthony (Donna); daughters, Debra Melton (Nelson), Denise “Dee Dee” Mauney (Rick), Robin Williamson and Kate Whitesell (Richard); fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Judy Curtis and special friend, Ken Richards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Anthony, Jr.; her brother, Bubba Brown, and son-in-law, Maxie Williamson. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2016, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
