Jerome Pate Jr.

Jerome Pate Jr., 80, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025.

He was born in Florence, SC, the son of the late Jerome Pate Sr. and Dorothy Lee Pate. He served many years in the U.S. Army before beginning a career at Coca-Cola, where he later retired from. In his later years he worked for Francis Marion University as a Custodial Supervisor. Mr. Pate was a talented artist with exceptional drawing skills.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Schuman Pate and brother, John Earl Pate.

Surviving are his stepdaughter, Donna Miller; step grandchildren, Mandi Joye and Austin Miller; sister, Juanita P. Altman; nieces and nephews, John Altman, Philip Altman, Scott Altman, Theresa Altman and Christopher Pate; and significant other, Jonna Pittillo.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Florence National Cemetery.
