Jennifer A. Hill

Jennifer A. Hill, 66, of Florence, SC passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Hill was born in Waynesboro, VA a daughter of June Elizabeth Landes Aldhizer and the late Fairfax Fulton Aldhizer. Jennifer was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She taught at Williams Middle School for 23 years. Jennifer was one of the original teachers to introduce the IB/MYP program into the local school system. She became the program coordinator in 2007 and served in that position until her retirement in 2015. Jennifer was a board member of the South Carolina International Baccalaureate Schools association. She was dedicated to and loved her students over the years, and she was proud of their many accomplishments She is survived by her husband, Larry David Hill of Florence; her mother, June Elizabeth Landes Aldhizer of Florence; a son, Dr. Justin Coon and wife Rachel of Moreton-in-Marsh, Great Britain; a daughter, Emily Wyers and husband Jerry of Lexington, SC; a sister, Gail Dungan of Eureka, CA; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Saturday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
