Jeanie Patricia Hill-Parker

Jeanie Patricia Hill-Parker, 57, died on March 27, 2017, after a long illness.Patricia was the oldest daughter of Harold Floyd Hill and Nancy Lee Hill. Patricia was born on March 17, 1960, in Florence, SC.A member of the NJROTC, Patricia graduated from South Florence High School in 1978.In 1982, she graduated from Francis Marion College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and graduated in 1986 with her Master of Education from University of South Carolina.Prior to her illness, Patricia dedicated her life to teaching in the Marion County and the Florence District Three Public Schools. A devoted teacher, she strove to ensure that every child knew kindness and was successful. Patricia’s love of children extended past the school house doors.Until her illness, she took great pride in being a foster mother.She made a home for five children and loved them all like her own.In short, Patricia was committed to all children she encountered wanting them to know that they were loved, appreciated, respected, and cared for. Patricia was predeceased in death by her husband, Craig Parker; her grandparents; her younger brother, Charles Wyette Hill; and several aunts and uncles. Surviving are her parents; her brothers, Michael Hill (Jonnie) and Kevin Hill (Sharon), as well as her sisters, Sharon Kieselhorst (Larry), Susan Kirby (Mike), Crystal Chapman (David). She is also survived by her nieces, Hillary Kirby Powell (Taylor) and Michelle Hill as well as her nephews, Chase Kirby, Grady Chapman and Kevin Chapman. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 in Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
