Jean Josey Jones

Jean Maree Josey Jones, 90, of North Charleston, formerly of Florence, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Mrs. Jones was born a daughter of the late George Eugene Josey and Kathleen Hutto Josey.She graduated from McClenaghan High School and had attended First Presbyterian Church in Florence for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl B. Jones; daughter, Nancy E. Jones; granddaughter, Jennifer Norris; sisters, Mary Whitehurst and Dorothy Helmy; and brother, George E. Josey. Mrs. Jones is survived by her son, Carl B. Jones of Summerville, SC; daughter, Katherine Ann Manley of Ridgecrest, CA; grandchildren, John Manley, Jr., Carl Scott Jones and Jason Ryan Jones; and great-grandchildren, Morgan Gayle Jones and Carlee Rae Jones. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 140 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 210, Columbia, SC 29210.
