Jean Bryant Alford Florence, SC Jean Bryant Alford, 82, of Florence, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at her daughter's residence. Mrs. Alford was born in Marion Co., SC a daughter of the late Rembert and Ruth Martin Bryant.She was a member of Northgate Baptist Church and a past member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was the pianist for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Walter Herbert Alford, who died on January 14, 2005; sister, Evelyn Burroughs; brother, Paul Bryant and a special nephew, Jackie "Binky" Bryant, Jr. Surviving are her daughters, Linda (Morgan) Harrell of Florence and Carolyn (Bill) Bailey of Florence; brothers, Jack Bryant of Florence and Kenneth Bryant; grandchildren, Melissa Chavis of Manning, Walter Harrell of Florence, Hewitt (Michelle) Harrell of Darlington and Angela (John) Cason of Florence; great-grandchildren, Noah Harrell, Malena Harrell, Elizabeth Cason and Tanner Harrell; her dog , Precious and her cat, Scooter. Memorials may be made to Northgate Baptist Church, 1217 N. Ebenezer Road, Florence, SC29501. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at Northgate Baptist Church.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
