Janice Dubose Pigate

Janice Dubose Pigate, 75, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Pigate was born a daughter of the late Sydney Luther Dubose and Lillian Ham Dubose.She was a retired school teacher from Florence School District #1. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Vernon Durant Pigate. Mrs. Pigate is survived by her son, Steve D. Pigate (Vickie); daughter, Michelle Summerford (Curt); grandchildren, Hannah McKenzie, Joshua Summerford, Zachary Summerford and Jessica Summerford; and sisters, Sylvia Oliver, Sandra Bailey (Bill), Pam Bass (Lenny) and Rose Howard. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
