James Allen Weatherford

James Allen Weatherford, Sr. 70, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Mr. Weatherford was born in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Ollie Allen Weatherford and Agnes Isadora Evans Weatherford.He was attending Midway Baptist Church in Darlington. Mr. Weatherford was a hardworking provider for his family and worked 40 years without missing a day of work. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Nancy Baxley Weatherford; sons, James “Jamie” A. Weatherford, Jr. (Harriett) of Darlington and Michael Weatherford of Mars Bluff; daughters, Terri Weatherford and Jackie Nolan (Wayne), both of Hartsville; Boggan Haney who was like a son; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Junior Weatherford; and sisters, Lottie Harris (Bill) and Mary Myatt (Phil). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Weatherford. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery.
