MR. JAMES T. "JIMMY" DuBOSE CAYCE, SC MR. JAMES T. "JIMMY" DuBOSE, age 56, of Cayce, died peacefully at a health care facility in Cayce, SC on Saturday, December 25, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. DuBose was born September 22, 1954 in Florence, SC, a son of the late Marion L. "Ted" DuBose and Marley Powell DuBose.He graduated from Lake City High School, was a private in the US Army at Fort Hood, Texas and later became a self employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Weldon and Lena DuBose; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Patty Powell; parents and by a nephew, Bryan Pearce. Surviving are his brother, Marion L. "Pete" (Frances) DuBose, Jr. of Florence; sisters, Lizzie D. (Clifford) Matthews of Scranton, SC and Patsy D. (Ellison) Pearce of Olanta, SC; niece, Melinda (Ricky) McKnight of Florence; nephews, Mark (Debbie) Matthews of Scranton and Steven Pearce and his girlfriend, Amber Stevenson of Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 South Irby Street, Florence, SC29505 to assist the family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the expressions of love during their time of bereavement and a "Special Thank You" to Ms. Sherry Parker at Twilite Manor for the loving care she provided during his illness.
