James Ollis Stone

James Ollis Stone, 73, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 in the McLeod Hospice House. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Chapel at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Stone was born in Hanna, SC a son of the late Russell Corbett and Eula Poston Stone. He was a charter member of South Florence Baptist Church and was currently attending Oakdale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Priscilla Dean Floyd Stone. Surviving are a daughter, Paige Stone (Kirk) Corbett of Florence; sons, James D. Stone of Florence and Brent (Teri) Stone of Blythewood, SC; grandchildren, Lauren Stone, Leah Stone, Ansley Stone, Meredith Stone, Landon Corbett and Bryson Corbett; brothers, Lamar Stone, Jay (Elaine) Stone, Carol (Donna) Stone; sisters, Era Mae Caplinger, Lera Poston, Verda Heritage and Russell Lee Lindbergh. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Elaine Stone. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
