James Waiters Powell

James W. Powell, 65, of Scranton passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. Mr. Powell grew up in Pamplico, SC and was well regarded as a kind and compassionate man. A skilled electrician and mechanic, he was retired and lived with his wife in Scranton, SC. Mr. Powell is survived by his wife,Willie Powell; daughters, Jenny Powell and Tina (Kevin) Powell Capazzi; mother, Miriam Hare; siblings, Charles (Debra) Powell, Gerald Powell, Wayne Powell and Wanda Powell Pearson, as well as a grandchild and many neices and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his father, Augene D. Powell and his stepdaughter, Lou Springer. There week be no public memorial service, only a private family gathering.
