James D. Porter

James D. Porter, 65, of Hartsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Mr. Porter was born a son of Carol Mae McElveen Porter and the late James F. Porter, Jr.He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a commissary supervisor. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his sister, Debra Blackmon. Mr. Porter is survived by his mother, Carol Mae McElveen Porter; his wife, Chong Suk Porter; daughter, Kimberly Ann Porter of Hartsville; brothers, Larry Porter of Florence, Tony Porter (Cindy) of Myrtle Beach, and Andy Porter of Florence; and sisters, Bonnie Rogers of Florence, and Jane Beasley (Robert) of Hartsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery.
