James Neal "Magoo" Mackenna

James Neal “Magoo” Mackenna, 69, of Florence, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019. Mr. Mackenna was born in Niagara Falls, NY a son of the late Joseph Arthur Mackenna and Irene Georgia Rich Mackenna.He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.He was an incredible artist and a great auto body mechanic.He loved shooting pool with his friends and riding motorcycles.Magoo was a loving husband, daddy, and grandfather, and loved Jesus. Surviving are his wife, Deborah Gale Clemmons Mackenna; daughter, Crystal (Rex Rogers) Collins of Darlington and Misty Autumn (Jason) Brune of Florence; grandchildren, Brandon Collins, Blake Collins, Grace Brune, Christian Brune, and Brooke Goins; brothers, Joseph (Kathy) Mackenna of Darien, CT and John Peter (Sue) Mackenna of Grand Island, NY; sister, Gwen (Charlie) Beno of Utica, NY. Memorials may be made to the Joshua Project at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2930 Masters Way, Darlington, SC29532. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Monday, June 17, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
